Position
Qualifications:
- 4 Year Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architectural related field. (PMP, CCM, or other accreditation with experience may be accepted in lieu)
- Must have 4-6 years previous experience as a “Commercial Construction Superintendent” on large, complex building projects.
- Must have a working knowledge of all crafts and current means and methods.
- Must have 2 years of high end resort construction experience.
- Must have the ability to read and understand plans and specifications for all trades.
- Knowledge of Cal/OSHA regulations, Cal/OSHA certification, and the ability to enforce safety standards on site.
- Extensive knowledge of “CPM Scheduling”. Ability to create and update accurate baseline CPM schedules, determine efficient sequencing, and ensure schedules withstand scrutiny.
- Good computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and Pro Core Project Management software.
- Strong knowledge of all building codes and licensing requirements.
- Physical ability to move, lift (at least 80 pounds), and supervise all areas of the project in various weather conditions.
- Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (no sponsorship available).
Position Summary:
- Supervise and direct the construction efforts, ensuring compliance with safety, building codes, design, budget, quality, and schedule.
- Optimize project profitability and reputation through planning, efficiency, and quality work.
- Anticipate and mitigate issues related to coordination, design, safety, and schedule.
- Coordinate with Project Manager, document activities, enforce safety procedures, and manage subcontractors and project close-out.
- Maintain organized, safe job sites and good relationships with clients and team members.
- Create detailed subcontracts, CPM schedules, and conduct coordination meetings.
- Manage project close-out, inspections, deficiencies, warranty work, and demobilization.
- Collaborate effectively with the project team and demonstrate sound judgment.
- Perform other assigned responsibilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Assist in moving, lifting, and transporting materials and equipment (50 lbs or more).
- Inspect all project areas in all weather conditions, involving physical activities like stooping, bending, climbing, crawling, and stretching.
- Be flexible with travel and available for emergencies or delays as needed.
