About Us

We are a high-end residential design-build firm specializing in custom homes throughout the Front Range of Colorado. Our projects are unique, highly detailed, and technically complex, requiring exceptional coordination between our design, architecture, estimating, and construction teams.

Position Overview

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Permitting Coordinator to manage the permitting process for multiple custom residential projects from initial application through final approval. This position will serve as a key point of contact between our internal teams, architects, and local jurisdictions to ensure permits are submitted accurately, tracked closely, and obtained in accordance with project schedules.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit building permit applications and required supporting documentation.
  • Manage and track permits for multiple custom residential projects simultaneously.
  • Prepare, review, and organize plan packages and supporting documents prior to submission.
  • Coordinate permit submissions, pickups, and required documentation with municipal departments.
  • Communicate with building departments, plan reviewers, municipalities, and other agencies regarding requirements, procedures, timelines, and project status.
  • Monitor permit reviews from submission through final approval and proactively follow up on comments, corrections, outstanding items, and approvals.
  • Maintain accurate records of applications, correspondence, approvals, revisions, and other permitting documentation.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, architects, and the Design Team to ensure plans, project information, and applications are complete and accurate.
  • Monitor permitting timelines and communicate potential delays or issues to the appropriate team members.
  • Support Project Managers and the Design Team with data entry, documentation, scheduling, and other administrative project management tasks.
  • Assist with estimating and preliminary project research for custom single-family residential projects as needed.
  • Maintain working knowledge of applicable municipal permitting requirements and processes.
  • Conduct all business in a professional, ethical, and respectful manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Previous experience with residential building permitting, construction administration, project coordination, or a related field.
  • Experience working with municipalities, building departments, or governmental permitting agencies strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of permitting requirements and processes for single-family residential construction.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand architectural drawings and construction documents.
  • Ability to identify missing or inconsistent information in permit applications and plan packages.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Construction or project management software experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and proactively follow up on outstanding items.
  • Professional, reliable, and solutions-oriented approach to working with municipalities, architects, subcontractors, clients, and internal teams.
What We’re Looking For

The right person will own the permitting process, rather than simply process paperwork. You should enjoy keeping projects organized, anticipating what is needed next, following up when something is delayed, and addressing details before they become problems.

Experience in a custom homebuilding, architecture, engineering, or construction environment is required.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position working closely with our Architecture, Design, Estimating, and Construction teams. The role requires strong collaboration and communication, as well as the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and keep projects moving forward.
