Position Snapshot
The Mountain Sales Agent serves as a front‑line ambassador for Telluride Ski & Golf, delivering exceptional guest service while assisting guests with lift tickets, season passes, activities, and other resort products. This guest‑focused role combines hospitality, sales, and concierge‑style service to create memorable experiences for every guest. Successful candidates are friendly, professional, and passionate about providing exceptional service in a fast‑paced mountain resort environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver exceptional guest service during every interaction.
- Assist guests with lift tickets, season passes, activities, and other resort products.
- Provide knowledgeable assistance to guests in person, by phone, and through email.
- Process sales transactions accurately using point‑of‑sale systems.
- Maintain accurate guest records and transaction documentation.
- Develop knowledge of resort products, services, promotions, and policies.
- Resolve guest concerns professionally while supporting a positive guest experience.
- Follow company policies, the Colorado Skier Safety Act, and the Skier Responsibility Code.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous customer service, hospitality, retail, or reservation experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and point‑of‑sale or reservation systems.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and peak operating periods.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Frequent use of computers and point‑of‑sale equipment.
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry, or move up to 50 pounds.
- Visual abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Winter Full‑Time Seasonal position.
- Typical shifts are approximately 7:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and include a lunch and ski break.
- Employees are generally scheduled five days per week with two consecutive days off, subject to operational needs.
- This is a full‑time seasonal position with an average work schedule of approximately 32 hours per week. Actual hours may vary based on business needs.
- Employees must be available to work weekends, holidays, and peak operating periods. To support our busiest times of the season, employees are expected to work during designated holiday and peak operating periods.
- Starting wage: $21.00 per hour
- Winter Full‑Time Seasonal employment (approximately November through early April)
