Key Responsibilities- Perform thorough oral hygiene assessments, including reviewing medical history and dental charting.
- Clean and remove plaque and calculus from teeth and along the gumline using dental instruments.
- Take dental x-rays and assist the dentist in diagnostic procedures.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized preventive care instructions.
- Administer fluoride treatments and apply dental sealants.
- Perform periodontal charting to assess and monitor gum health.
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures and ensure a sterile and safe environment.
- Perform oral cancer screenings and identify any abnormalities.
- Manage patient recall system and schedule appointments for follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date dental records and documentation.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Adhere to all infection control and sterilization procedures.
- Stay updated with advancements in dental hygiene techniques and technologies.
- Current Colorado Registered Dental Hygienist license.
- Local anesthesia certification (preferred)
- CPR certification
- Excellent communication skills
- Comfortable using open dental software.
