We are a high-end residential design-build firm specializing in custom homes on the Colorado Front Range. Every home is custom designed, requiring close coordination between architecture, engineering, and construction.
Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced, self-directed Senior Project Architect to take ownership of custom residential projects from initial client meeting through design development, engineering coordination, construction documents, and permitting.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can function as a project owner, not simply a production team member. You will work directly with clients, develop designs, make architectural decisions, coordinate consultants, and produce complete, permit-ready sets with minimal supervision.
We are looking for someone who can take a project and run with it.

- Meet with clients to understand needs, goals, budget, and design preferences.
- Lead design from concept through Design Development.
- Establish priorities, manage deadlines, and independently move projects forward.
- Prepare client renderings using Enscape, Lumion, D5, or similar software.
- Engineering & Consultant Coordination Coordinate structural, mechanical, civil, energy, and other consultants.
- Review engineering documents and proactively resolve conflicts.
- Coordinate energy-code requirements, HERS documentation, and other project requirements.
- Construction Documents & Permitting Develop complete bid, construction, and permit sets.
- Produce and maintain accurate Revit models and drawings.
- Apply applicable building codes and jurisdictional requirements.
- Prepare permit submissions and respond to plan review comments.
- Construction Support Respond to RFIs and change orders.
- Perform site visits as needed.
- Highly self-directed and able to determine next steps without step-by-step direction.
- Experience independently managing large, custom residential projects from client contact through permit.
- Strong knowledge of residential design, construction, detailing, and building systems.
- Ability to produce complete, coordinated architectural permit/CD sets.
- Experience coordinating engineers and consultants.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Willingness to work in-office full time.
- Advanced Autodesk Revit proficiency.
- Enscape or similar rendering software experience.
- High-end custom residential experience.
- Design-build experience.
- Knowledge of Colorado Front Range jurisdictions, codes, and permitting.
- Understanding of construction costs, value engineering, and energy-code/HERS requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Environmental Design.
- Architectural licensure is a plus, but not required.
- Strong knowledge of residential construction methods.
- 7+ years of professional architectural experience.
This position works directly with the firm's Director of Architecture, a licensed architect. Candidates pursuing licensure will receive mentorship and the opportunity to gain qualifying AXP experience, including supervision and verification of eligible experience.
