Nursery Services: Level II nursery (transfer protocols for higher acuity)
Job Requirements — OB/GYN Physician Qualifications
Board Certified in OB/GYN (required) — Obstetrician-Gynecologist
Active Colorado medical license OR active IMLC LOQ (required) — Colorado licensure for locum tenens
Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications (required)
At least 1 year of experience as an OB/GYN physician with labor & delivery and surgical experience
Ability to perform required procedures in Obstetrics, Labor & Delivery, and Gynecology (C-sections, VBACs, breech, multiple births)
Self-query NPDB (pulled within the month) at time of presentation
Experience with Epic EMR and OB ultrasound interpretation preferred (Level I/screening/viability)
Responsibilities — OB/GYN Clinical Duties
Provide comprehensive hospital-based obstetrics and gynecology care for low and high-risk pregnancies (approx. 70% low risk, 30% high risk)
Manage an average hospital census of 4–5 patients daily and approximately 3–4 deliveries per week
Perform OB/GYN surgeries and emergent cases (1–4 emergent cases per week); surgical gynecology (open & laparoscopic diagnostic/minor and major procedures)
Conduct routine and complicated deliveries including C-sections, VBACs, breech, and multiple births
Perform and interpret OB ultrasounds (Level I/screening/viability preferred)
Collaborate with a clinical team of 7 OB/GYN physicians and 4 advanced practice providers (mid-levels)
Participate in scheduled 24-hour in-house call coverage (4 in-house 24-hour call shifts per month)
Ensure accurate, timely documentation in Epic EMR and follow hospital policies and transfer protocols for higher acuity neonatal care
