Colorado Medical License, Board Certification in Gastroenterology, ERCP certification preferred - Experience:
Minimum of 3+ years in GI, with procedural expertise in ERCP, EUS, Endoscopy, and GI Bleed management
- Pay package discussed upon application
- Orientation stipend: $262.50 (half the hourly rate after 8 hours)
- On-call pay (per 24 hours):
Up to $5,200 or below, including 8 hours free - Holiday call rate (per 24 hours):
Up to $7,800, includes 8 hours free - Call-back (per hour):
Up to $525, prorated for patient contact hours - Holiday call-back: $787.50 per hour of patient contact
- Provide inpatient GI consultations in a Level 1 Trauma setting
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as ERCP, EUS, and endoscopy
- Evaluate and manage GI bleeding and related problems
- Collaborate with hospital staff and support medical teams
- Support hospital coverage during scheduled gaps and provider breaks
- Document patient care in EPIC EMR system
- Active Colorado medical license and board-certified in Gastroenterology
- Minimum 3+ years of clinical experience in GI procedures, including ERCP and EUS
- Proficiency in EPIC EMR system (training provided)
- Ability to work flexible 24-hour call shifts
- Strong assessment and procedural skills in GI patient care
This assignment involves providing expert GI care in a high-volume inpatient setting at a Level 1 Trauma Center. You will perform a range of procedures, including ERCP, EUS, and endoscopy, with a focus on acute GI issues such as bleeding and complex diagnostics. Support staff is not available on-site, requiring the provider to work independently in a busy hospital environment. The facility caters to adult and geriatric patients, with occasional pediatric trauma cases.
Expect a fast-paced, collaborative atmosphere with 24/7 trauma and intensivist support.
