The University of Colorado Anschutz Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a 1.0 FTE OB Hospitalist Medical Director to lead the hospitalist program at UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital. This physician leader will provide clinical and operational oversight for the OB Hospitalist group and serve as a key liaison among the hospitalist team, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, nursing leadership, hospital administration, and the multidisciplinary care team.
The ideal candidate will champion safe, high-quality, evidence-based obstetric care while fostering professionalism, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. They will bring strong obstetric experience, proven leadership skills, and a commitment to building a high-performing hospitalist program that supports patients, providers, nursing staff, and the broader hospital community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered obstetrics and gynecology care across outpatient, inpatient, and surgical settings.
- Participate in shared call coverage, including night and weekend calls.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and staff to support efficient, coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete medical documentation and required training.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives that support patient safety, care quality, and clinical outcomes.
- Contribute to community outreach and patient education efforts that advance the health and well-being of the communities we serve.
Work Location:
Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Highlands Ranch, CO.

Senior Instructor:
- Board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Unrestricted Colorado medical license and eligibility for clinical privileges at UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital.
- Faculty appointment at the level of Senior Instructor or above in the University of Colorado Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Demonstrated clinical experience in obstetrics and hospital-based care.
- Previous physician leadership experience preferred.
- Current BLS certification
- Four (4) years of post-residency clinical experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology, with demonstrated commitment to high-quality patient care, collaboration, and clinical excellence
Assistant Professor:
- Board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Unrestricted Colorado medical license and eligibility for clinical privileges at UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital.
