Family Medicine NP – Springfield, CO ER Coverage

A community-focused healthcare organization in southeastern Colorado is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive primary care and assist with emergency department coverage.

This position offers a broad scope of practice and the opportunity to care for patients across the lifespan. The incoming physician will join an experienced rural healthcare team committed to expanding access to high-quality care in an underserved community.

• Provide outpatient primary care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
• Conduct examinations, diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, and develop individualized care plans
• Order and interpret diagnostic testing
• Prescribe medications and provide preventive health education
• Assist with emergency department coverage as part of the provider schedule
• Evaluate and stabilize patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions
• Coordinate transfers when patients require a higher level of care
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, emergency personnel, rehabilitation professionals, and other members of the healthcare team
• Maintain a broad scope of practice in a supportive rural environment
