Out of School Time Program Coordinator
209 days per year; roughly follows the LCSD Calendar. July 20, 2026 - June 11, 2027. Follows district break schedule for Fall, Winter, and Spring breaks.
Position Type:
Full-Time
Salary: $53,713-$68,338 per year. Plus an excellent benefits package.
Responsibilities- Program Coordination:
Oversee and coordinate recruitment, registration, and enrollment for out-of-school time (OST) programs for grades K-12. - Compile K-12 student/parent online registration information for OST programs.
- Enroll K-5 students in programs to begin during the first week of school.
- Provide opportunities for rolling K-5 enrollment to OST programs throughout the year based on program capacity and student needs.
- Coordinate outreach to parents and teachers/staff to communicate student progress in programming and recruit new students.
- Support outreach efforts to increase parent engagement and involvement with OST programs and family initiatives.
- Oversee and coordinate student support and discipline for OST programs: coordinate amongst OST operations to implement positive behavior support strategies and facilitate disciplinary processes.
- Oversee the analysis of academic data in partnership with OST Program Coordinator, school principal, and academic deans to modify scheduling and/or design programming to improve academic outcomes.
- Attend school MTSS and Admin meetings as needed to collaborate on academic or behavioral support for OST students.
- Attend training to support the development of student support and discipline efforts as requested.
- Build and maintain the detailed attendance database including activities participated in, end-of-year surveys and other required demographics for grant reporting.
- Manage OST transportation rosters for routes home for after school and Friday programs, and routes to programs for Friday programs.
- Manage assessment and collection of program fees.
- Lead planning and delivery of Friday programming, including field trips and special events.
- Coordinate changes in schedule as needed to align with funding sources, partnerships and student needs.
- Develop high quality academic intervention/tutoring systems and enrichment programs for OST that will improve academic outcomes for students and provide a wide range of experiences.
- Oversee the analysis of academic data in partnership with OST Bilingual Student Coordinator, school principal, and academic deans to modify scheduling and/or design programming to improve academic outcomes.
- Maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment used for the programs at the start and end of each semester.
- Attend training to support program quality as requested.
- Report snack and/or meal data monthly.
- Collaborate with the OST Director and Support staff to manage the OST facility.
- Program Supervision:
Provide oversight of programs and staff while programs are in operation during all OST hours, including after school and Fridays. - Serve as the district administrator on duty from 3:15-6:30pm Monday-Thursday and 7:45am-4:00pm on Fridays in the absence of the OST Director.
- Follow LCSD school safety and emergency procedures at all times, and maintain the safety of all students through proper risk management strategies.
- Create daily instructional staff schedules and activity assignments based on student enrollment.
- Collaborate with OST Bilingual Student Coordinator to place students in appropriate OST activities according to grade level, student interest, and support needs.
- Support instructional staff with program implementation and behavior management as needed.
- Organize staff and students during field trips and special events.
- Observe OST activities to assess program quality and coach staff on student behavior management and program quality as needed.
- Organize service of daily snacks and/or meals and record total snacks and/or meals served for reporting requirements.
- BA in education or related field preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish language skills preferred
- Minimum of 3 years related youth program leadership experience, including: staff supervision, coordination/execution of programming, and managing student behavior through a positive youth development approach
- Experience working with large groups of youth.
- Strong commitment to equity in education and promotion of academic achievement.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using computers for communication, record keeping, and database input (Outlook, Google suite, OST attendance database)
- A willingness and eagerness to be coached through feedback.
- Experience supervising, training, and evaluating front line staff.
- Creativity and flexibility.
- Familiarity and care for Lake County students is highly preferred.
- CPR/First Aid required upon employment.
