Estes Park Elementary School is hiring an aspiring school leader to serve as our Project Launch Site Coordinator. The Site Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the successful planning, organization, and implementation of Project Launch. This position collaborates with the Principal to manage staff, coordinate student enrollment, and ensure program quality and compliance with literacy‑based instructional goals. The Site Coordinator will work closely with families, teachers, and the principal to foster student growth and engagement during Project Launch.

Project Launch is a summer learning program in June designed to accelerate student learning in a fun, camp‑like environment. It is targeted for raising K‑5 students and enrollment is prioritized for students in grades K‑2, Multilingual Learners, students who qualify for free and reduced lunch, and/or students on READ Plans. Project Launch is not a remedial program, but aims to launch students into success for the next school year while also tapping into teacher passions and development in quality instructional planning.
Key Responsibilities- Staffing and Recruitment: Collaborate with the Principal to recruit and hire teachers, literacy instructors, health clerks, and apprentices. Maintain an updated contact list.
- Student Identification and Enrollment: Identify and recruit rising K through 5th‑grade students who will benefit most from the program. Distribute flyers and include announcements in school newsletters. Manage student registrations.
- Program Planning: Develop the master schedule, pre/post‑assessment plans, and staff meeting/training schedules. Meet regularly with the Principal to review planning and program implementation progress.
- Training and Preparation: Prepare and train staff to implement Project Launch programming.
- Communication: Provide regular communication to enrolled families about program logistics and progress.
- Program Implementation and Evaluation: Lead staff in delivering high‑quality instruction, managing student behaviors, and student assessments. Prepare and distribute student progress reports summarizing academic progress.
- Up to 30 hours of planning and prep + 2 days of staff prep/training + 16 student contact days in June
- Student contact days:
June 1‑25th on Monday‑Thursday 8:30 am – 3:00 pm - $40 per hour
Aspirations toward future school leadership roles and/or CO Principal License preferred.
The Site Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring that Project Launch achieves its goals of supporting literacy and math development and whole student success!
