We are currently seeking a talented and passionate music educator to join our team at Estes Park Middle and High Schools. Our vibrant and award-winning band program includes concert band, jazz band, and marching band.
The Estes Park High School Band has a proud legacy of excellence, including:
- Numerous Colorado Bandmasters Association State Marching Championships
- Multiple regional titles
- Consistent appearances in state finals
- Performances at CHSAA/CBA concert band festivals

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in instrumental music education from an accredited institution.
- Possess or be able to obtain a Colorado teacher's license with an endorsement in secondary music.
- Ability to:
- Positively impact and individualize students' musicianship in grades 6-12
- Establish positive relationships with students, parents, and boosters
- Commit to a strenuous schedule including daily teaching, evening concerts, festivals, events, and fund-raisers
- Present a holistic music education program for students that includes instrumental techniques, music theory, musicianship, performance, music history, composition/improvisation, and integration of technology
- Coordinate and collaborate with colleagues in the fine arts department and schools to provide interdisciplinary lessons
- Organize and manage an effective, student-centered, learning environment
- Interact with an active community concert and jazz bands
PREFERRED:
- Previous experience as a band director in a strong program
- Master's degree or higher in music education
- Demonstrated expertise with performance on major instruments and in conducting
- Well-rounded ability to teach and play instruments from all instrumental families, including brass, woodwinds, and percussion
- Excellent keyboard, sight-reading/sight-singing, and aural skills

Up to ten years of previous teaching experience in an accredited school district may be granted. Position starts on or about August 03, 2026. FLSA exempt. Position open until filled.
