We are currently seeking a compassionate and motivated Special Education Paraprofessional to join our team.
Job Description:
As a Special Education Paraprofessional, you will work closely with students with special needs under the supervision of a certified special education teacher. Your primary responsibility will be to support students in their academic and social development, helping to create a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the special education teacher in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Provide support to students with diverse learning needs in the classroom.
- Help students with daily living skills and activities.
- Supervise students during instructional and non-instructional activities.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to promote student success.
- Assist in the preparation of instructional materials and classroom organization.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with children, preferably in a special education setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting students with special needs.
