• Minimum Bachelor's degree in education with a minor or certificate in special education or a degree program in special education from an accredited institution.
• Possess or be able to obtain a Colorado license with an endorsement as Special Education Generalist. Must be licensed by the first day of work.
• Ability to positively impact and individualize student achievement.
• Use assessment data for instruction and interventions.
• Organize and manage an effective, student‑centered learning environment.
• Understand and appreciate diversity.
• Utilize effective interpersonal skills with students, parents, and staff.
• Collaborate to implement IEPs.
• Knowledge of Functional Behavioral Assessment, implementing behavior plans, and IEP laws.
• Work with multiple disabilities in grades 8‑12, with an emphasis on students who have Intellectual Disabilities, Physical Disabilities, and other severe needs disabilities.

• Previous experience as a secondary special education teacher.
• Experience with implementing modifications, accommodations, and behavior plans.
• Team player, ability to work collaboratively with regular education teachers, specialists, and paraprofessionals.

Hourly rate: $34.00 per hour. No benefits.

Work hours:

8:00 am to 12:00 pm, Monday through Thursday, June 1 through June 25, 2026.
