PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Aspen Ridge Recovery and Colorado Medication Assisted Recovery (CMAR) are committed to supporting lifelong recovery through our Alumni program by offering a collaborative and welcoming community post treatment. The Alumni Services Coach is responsible for engaging and fostering a robust and active alumni community for Aspen Ridge Recovery and CMAR. This role focuses on performing alumni outreach, organizing recovery events, providing recovery coaching, and overall, instilling a sense of connection and community among current and previous clients.

This position is typically M-F, with some weekends required for Alumni and Community events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Alumni & Community Engagement :
  • Conduct a minimum of 50 weekly alumni check-ins via phone calls, maintaining strong relationships and encouraging continued engagement, logging all interactions in the CRM / EMR.
  • Foster a sense of alumni connection among current clients, integrating them into the broader alumni network.
  • Develop and implement community-building initiatives that strengthen connections between alumni and current clients.
  • Facilitate 1 monthly alumni support groups.
  • Facilitate 2 weekly recovery coaching groups. (i.e., All Pathways, etc.)
  • Facilitate and execute 1 quarterly Alumni Event. (Cookout, Speaker event, Camping trip, Sporting event, etc.)
  • Coordinate with digital marketing, outreach, clinical, and admissions to get alumni re-engaged with our services as needed.
  • Additional Community based events as needed.
Client Support & Recovery Coaching:
  • Facilitate recovery coaching groups at all Aspen Ridge and CMAR locations providing structure and guidance for patients as they progress through their outpatient journey.
  • Develop a caseload of 10 OP/alumni clients and meet with them weekly for recovery coaching.
  • Document and bill a minimum of 25 weekly peer coaching sessions (15-minute session).
  • Facilitate 2 recovery coaching groups per week (90 minutes each) one in person either at Thornton or Lakewood, with the option of the second being a virtual group
    • These coaching groups are for OP and alumni/coaching clients and should be documented and billed.
    • Maintain a census of 6-12 clients in these groups.
  • Engage with patients who are struggling and need our support, trying to get them to re-engage in our program or assist in getting them into a higher level of care, in collaboration with our Outreach and Admissions teams.
  • Travel to all locations on a rotating basis to engage with clients, promote Alumni and recovery coaching services. This can be done in the context of extracurricular groups or art groups where appropriate.
Leadership, program development, and Coaching Supervision:
  • Provide Coaching Supervision for other Recovery Coaches in the organization
  • Act as a spokesperson and advocate for the organization, increasing brand visibility and credibility.
  • Participate in TPAS as a representative of our organization.
  • Collaborate with community partners on alumni-oriented events.
  • Track and report departmental KPI's to organizational leadership.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide Coaching Supervision for other Recovery Coaches in the organization as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Able to navigate a computer and use basic software
  • Ability to apply common-sense understanding and critical thinking,
  • Ability to bring creativity and ideas to the team/other team members,
  • Ability to deal with problems involving clients both on the inside and outside of our programs.
  • Education Level: High School or equivalent
  • Minimum two years of continuous sobriety.
  • Active in the Recovery community
  • Minimum 1 year Addiction Treatment experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Preferably 2+ years of Recovery Coaching Supervisory experience.
  • Supervisory experience
  • Addiction treatment experience 2+ year
  • Alumni Programing experience
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
  • Certified Peer Coach Supervisor (required)
  • QBHA or willingness to obtain within 3 months of employment
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
  • Understands addiction and/or mental health, as well as recovery from either/both
  • High attention to detail
  • Achievement oriented
  • Excellent initiative and very resourceful in creating ways to complete the task at hand
  • Strong and clear communication skills with all teammates
  • Punctual with meetings and project timelines
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Office, Clinical, and "in the Field" work environment.
  • Ability to lift or carry up to 25 lbs.
  • The physical environment is typical of standard office space but does include outdoor activities.
