Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Middle School Math Teacher to inspire students and foster a strong foundation in mathematical thinking. The ideal candidate will create an engaging, supportive learning environment that encourages problem-solving, critical thinking, and academic growth for students in grades 6-8.
Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned math instruction appropriate for middle school learners
• Develop lesson plans that incorporate a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
• Assess student learning through quizzes, tests, projects, and informal evaluations, and provide timely feedback
• Use data to monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and collaboration
• Integrate technology and real-world applications to enhance math learning
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding academic progress and expectations
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance
• Uphold school policies and support the school's mission and values

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
• Valid teaching certification/licensure for middle school or secondary education (as required by state)
• Strong knowledge of middle school math curriculum and standards
• Effective classroom management and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to differentiate instruction and support diverse learners

Work Environment

151 days per year
Four-day school week (M-Th)

Salary Schedule (School year  salary schedule will be available in the summer 2026)
