Description:
Garfield County School District #16 and the Parachute/Battlement Mesa Parks and Recreation District have partnered to provide Cardinal Camp for the Summer of 2026.
Cardinal Camp has been designed for students entering 1st through 6th grade for the school year (students currently enrolled in grades K-5), with one program, Theater Aspen, for students entering grades 3-12. The six-week program includes one-week sessions around a theme, such as arts and crafts, sports, outdoor education, etc. Families can sign up for the weeks that best meet their needs.
Cardinal Camp will be Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Transportation to and from camp and lunch are provided.
Cardinal Camp is available to Garfield 16 students, as well as children who are not registered with the school district.
All programs will provide lunch.
The cost of the programs are $50 per week, per child.
Theatre Aspen and Extended English Language Learners camps are free.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for coordinating the Summer Camp Program.
- Responsibilities will include supporting teachers with planning and student concerns.
- Internal applicants who hold a professional teacher license or administrative license.
- Certified positions require a Colorado certificate or license. Salary is based upon experience and education
- Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the positions are filled
