PASB is a non-audition, public school dedicated to offering quality instruction that prepares students to achieve their dreams and contribute enthusiastically to their community, country, and world. Key to the student experience at PASB is instruction and opportunities in the performing arts. While the performing arts is a thriving industry and offers multiple meaningful career paths, the vision of PASB is to inspire a love of learning and teach skills in creativity, communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and leadership.
We believe students prepared in this way will find success in their chosen path and become the leaders who change the world.
The role of the PSOC is to ensure all students achieve success in high school by meeting graduation requirements - all course credits and Capstone expectations. All elective classes at PASB are connected to the Performing Arts including music, dance, acting, and technical theater - including but not limited to set design, construction, audio/sound, visual projections/lighting, stage management, house management, and marketing. PASB's CTE Pathway is "Technical Theater" which provides students with opportunities in industries in stage production and various audio and visual production fields.
ACTIVE PEDAGOGY:
Teaching and learning are active and engaging in PASB classrooms.
