YOU: We are seeking an enthusiastic, growth-mindset individual who has a passion for engaging, authentic learning experiences and is strong in instructional practices.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENT: The successful candidate will be required to complete fingerprinting through an approved fingerprinting vendor and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, within 48 hours of offer acceptance.
POSITION SUMMARY. The Instructional Coach will work as a colleague with classroom teachers to support student learning in all content areas. The Instructional Coach will focus on individual and group professional development that will expand and refine the understanding of research-based effective instruction to facilitate focused connections towards the District and school UIPs.
This is a grant funded position on a three year grant.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Facilitate the intellectual and professional development of teachers.
Maintain positive relationships with educators and administrators.
Communicate and demonstrate evidence-based instructional practices that result in increased student performance and improved classroom environments to elevate the science of teaching and learning.
Communicate effectively with all members of the school district and community.
Encourage professional growth and provide organized, individual and/or group learning opportunities for educators.
Assist teachers with designing instructional decisions based on assessment data and culturally responsive practices.
Provide support in analyzing student work and assessment data to adjust instruction for student needs..
Support the implementation of various instructional programs and assess the program effects on student achievement.
Co-plan with the teacher to model or co-teach and demonstrate aligned instructional strategies.
Coach teachers in monitoring instruction and student progress through observations and reflective conversations..
Partner with teachers to design, implement and reflect on differentiated instructional approaches and effective implementation of multi-tiered supports.
Provide feedback and support in researching instructional and/or curriculum issues.
Partner with building leaders to manage time and schedule flexibility that maximizes teacher schedules and learning.
Work collaboratively with building leadership to meet identified district and building improvement goals.
Assist in developing classroom environments that are safe, inclusive and conducive to learning for all students.
Maintain organized records of coaching activities, goals and non-evaluative progress.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING: Bachelor's degree or higher required from an accredited university or college. Completed a state approved Teacher Preparation Program.
