Qualifications & Desired

Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification
• Experience working in K-12 school settings
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, student evaluation, and progress monitoring
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
• Flexibility and adaptability to various classroom environments and student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to meet students' IEP goals, adapting materials and teaching strategies as needed
• Develop, write, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students
• Assess students' abilities and monitor progress regularly, reporting outcomes to parents and team members
• Partner with general education teachers and support staff to facilitate inclusion and accommodations
• Foster a positive classroom environment promoting respect, independence, and confidence
• Maintain accurate records and uphold compliance with school and state requirements
