Lewis-Palmer School District 38, located in Monument, CO, is looking for a 3rd Grade Teacher at Lewis-Palmer Elementary School beginning with the 2026-27 school year
.
The ideal candidate will bring a positive attitude, a willingness to be a team player, as well as strong collaboration and communication skills. We value educators who work well with colleagues and partner closely with families to support student success.
Applicants must have, or be eligible to receive, a current Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsement and meet the CDE READ Act requirements. They should have a solid foundation in literacy and a genuine understanding of the developmental needs of early elementary students. Preference will be given to candidates with experience using the Benchmark Workshop and Everyday Math curriculums.
The first day for teachers new to our district is July 31, 2026.
Pay and BenefitsExact placement on the pay schedule will be determined by the Director of Human Resources upon contracting. As a guideline, we offer up to 18 years of previous contractual teaching experience for a placement of Step 19, per school board policy. This pay range is based on education and experience levels with a range of $44,550 - $75,279. The current teacher pay schedule can be found on our website.
All employees are eligible for participation in the Colorado Public Employees Retirement Account, PERA. Full‑time employees, employed at least thirty hours per week, are eligible for health insurance plans that include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Lewis‑Palmer does provide one plan that is at no cost to the individual, and employees may choose from a selection of plans with additional options.
Paid leave is accrued in accordance with District policies and afforded to all persons in accordance with Colorado law for all eligible positions.
