Preschool Paraprofessional at Hoff Elementary for the  School Year

Under the direction of a licensed teacher, this role is responsible for assisting with the supervision of students when the teacher is absent or in conjunction with the teacher, providing instruction or reinforcing curriculum, performing clerical work, implementing behavior modification strategies, reading to students, and administering assessments.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proof of an Associate's Degree or at least two years (48 credit hours) of higher education preferred.
• Must have a valid Colorado Driver License with a clean driving record to satisfy insurance requirements.
• Current Colorado Level I credential or completion of two (2) 3-credit college courses with at least one course being Intro to Early Childhood Education preferred.
• At least twenty-four (24) months (3,640 hours) of verified early childhood experience preferred.
• Must pass a general background check; fingerprints and child abuse background check (TRAILS) required upon hire and every five years.
• Must complete and pass the CDHS child abuse background check and required physical and vaccination requirements per Colorado law for early childhood education.
• Must be 19 years of age or older.
• Technology experience and training preferred.
• Approximately 169 school days per year. Summers and holidays off.
• Monday – Friday, 40 hour week.
• $18.00 per hour or higher, based on experience level and the  Classified Pay Schedule. May receive up to 10 years of experience credit for verified work within the previous 13 years.
