This position is for the 2026-27 school year teaching 6th grade social studies & science at Timnath Middle High School.

Percentage: 100%

Work calendar days: 188

Duration of position:
Ongoing

Pay for this position is determined by the Licensed Educator Salary Schedule based on years of experience and education. Range for position is $58,000 - $89,278 annually (based on a 100% assignment starting Aug 6th, 2025).

* These pay rates are based on the 2025-26 school year rates and will be updated when approved during the negotiations process for the 2026-27 school year*

This is a probationary position. However, PSD employees currently under a licensed contract may apply for this position and if selected, will retain contract status.

Qualifications
  • Must have a valid Colorado Educator's License with appropriate endorsement.
  • Licenses, registrations, or certifications:
    Criminal background check required for hire; valid Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsements required; CPR and First Aid certifications encouraged.
  • Bachelor’s degree with proper teaching licensure program required; experience instructing students in a classroom setting preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, plan, prepare, and implement course content, format, structure, and schedule, individualized programs of instruction for students, classroom materials and curriculum, lesson plans and learning activities.
  • Instruct students in large, small, and one-on-one situations.
  • Administer, edit, proofread, and grade students’ assignments and assessments.
  • Create a classroom environment which maximizes instructional opportunity, supervise the behavior and wellbeing of students in the classroom and all educational settings, and administer discipline when appropriate.
  • Design assessment tasks that allow students to demonstrate understanding in a variety of ways and use the data to give meaningful feedback and modify instruction.
  • Monitor student growth and progress, adapt support as needed, and maintain documentation pertinent to academic, social, and emotional progress and needs of students.
  • Communicate students’ progress, needs, and eligibility with parents/guardians and other staff as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support personnel, administrators, and colleagues to enhance instruction and improve student outcomes; collaborate in team and building-based meetings and discussions.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to: understand, appreciate, and make accommodations for student diversity; include and engage families in the student’s education; support all Poudre School District policies, procedures, and expectations; provide personal and professional excellence.
  • Participate in department, team, building, and district meetings and discussions; student and/or family conferences and other meetings; social, cultural, interscholastic, and extracurricular activities; professional growth opportunities.
  • Attend work and arrive in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
