This position is for the 2026-27 school year teaching 6th grade social studies & science at Timnath Middle High School.

Percentage: 100%

Work calendar days: 188

Pay for this position is determined by the Licensed Educator Salary Schedule based on years of experience and education. Range for position is $58,000 - $89,278 annually (based on a 100% assignment starting Aug 6th, 2025).

* These pay rates are based on the 2025-26 school year rates and will be updated when approved during the negotiations process for the 2026-27 school year*

This is a probationary position. However, PSD employees currently under a licensed contract may apply for this position and if selected, will retain contract status.

Qualifications

Must have a valid Colorado Educator's License with appropriate endorsement.
Licenses, registrations, or certifications:
Criminal background check required for hire; valid Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsements required; CPR and First Aid certifications encouraged.
Bachelor’s degree with proper teaching licensure program required; experience instructing students in a classroom setting preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop, plan, prepare, and implement course content, format, structure, and schedule, individualized programs of instruction for students, classroom materials and curriculum, lesson plans and learning activities.

Instruct students in large, small, and one-on-one situations.

Administer, edit, proofread, and grade students’ assignments and assessments.

Create a classroom environment which maximizes instructional opportunity, supervise the behavior and wellbeing of students in the classroom and all educational settings, and administer discipline when appropriate.

Design assessment tasks that allow students to demonstrate understanding in a variety of ways and use the data to give meaningful feedback and modify instruction.

Monitor student growth and progress, adapt support as needed, and maintain documentation pertinent to academic, social, and emotional progress and needs of students.

Communicate students’ progress, needs, and eligibility with parents/guardians and other staff as needed.

Collaborate with teachers, support personnel, administrators, and colleagues to enhance instruction and improve student outcomes; collaborate in team and building-based meetings and discussions.

Demonstrate a commitment to: understand, appreciate, and make accommodations for student diversity; include and engage families in the student’s education; support all Poudre School District policies, procedures, and expectations; provide personal and professional excellence.

Participate in department, team, building, and district meetings and discussions; student and/or family conferences and other meetings; social, cultural, interscholastic, and extracurricular activities; professional growth opportunities.

Attend work and arrive in a timely manner.
