SUMMARY OF
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Supports teachers with instruction aligned with the Colorado Academic Standards, supervises assigned students, and maintains a positive learning environment. Adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs to increase student achievement. Maintain positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members.
ESSENTIAL JOB ELEMENTS:- Provide classroom and duty assignments required as guest teacher.
- Daily push-in support for teachers; small group and individual student support as needed.
- Participate in group meetings focusing on student learning and individual growth goals.
- Participate in the development and enhancement of a school-wide culture that promotes professional growth and student learning.
- Provide supervision in the lunchroom/playground and during recess and breaks; provide classroom coverage for teacher meetings, etc.
- Teach to an identified learning objective, present content accurately, implement a variety of instructional strategies, check frequently for student understanding, and monitor student progress.
- Promote and maintain student behavior expectations conducive to learning and maximizing learning time.
- Establish and demonstrate positive relations with students, parents, other staff members, and the community.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, confidentiality, and security of all student information.
- Comply with school policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor's degree preferred.
