Position Overview
Lewis-Palmer Elementary School, located in Monument, CO, is looking for a .8 FTE Art Teacher beginning with the school year. The start date for teachers new to the District is July 31, 2026. Must have or be eligible to receive a Colorado Teaching license with an Art endorsement. Must be able to facilitate and inspire student learning and creativity, design and develop high quality art, and manage the day-to-day fun of art class;
collaborate with students, colleagues, and the school community; promote and model partnerships with families; and take responsibility for our Responsive Classroom culture.

Exact placement on the pay schedule will be determined by the Director of Human Resources upon contracting. As a guideline, we offer up to 18 years of previous contractual teaching experience for a placement of Step 19, per school board policy. This pay range is based on education and experience levels with a range of $44,550 - $75,279. The current teacher pay schedule can be found on our website.
