Sixth Grade English Language Arts Teacher – East Grand Middle School
East Grand Middle School is seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable, and passionate teacher to join our team. Teachers at EGMS have both a daily planning time and a collaborative team time with the other grade level teachers (science, social studies, & math). We are a highly collaborative building with a focus on engaging, integrated and project-based instruction.
General responsibilities include developing lesson plans aligned to state standards, preparing and delivering lessons, creating and supervising activities for students, adapting instruction to meet individual learning needs, evaluating student performance, maintaining classroom records, meeting with and maintaining positive interpersonal relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members, and participating in school events.
Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications- Possess knowledge of current pedagogy
- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students
- Establish and communicate clear outcomes for all lessons, classwork, and projects.
- Support the program of study, using a variety of instructional techniques, instructional media, and technology
- Serve as a model for the district’s mission, vision, and goals
- Analyze and use appropriate data to guide instruction and develop assessments
- Appropriate Colorado teaching license – elementary certification OR secondary English Language Arts endorsement.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills as well as effective time management and organizational skills are necessary.
East Grand Middle School is located in Granby, Colorado, 90 miles NW of Denver and 20 miles from the Winter Park Ski area. School is in session Monday – Thursday from 8 a.m. – 4:15 p.m. EGMS has approximately 300 students in grades 6-8 and serves the communities of Winter Park, Fraser, Tabernash, Granby, Grand Lake, Hot Sulphur Springs, and beyond.
Compensation25-26 Certified Salary Schedule Insurance offered by EGSD
