Church Profile:
Monument Hill Church (MHC) is a congregation of roughly 250, situated against the beautiful Front Range of the Rocky Mountains in Monument, Colorado. Monument has a small town feel, but, like much of Colorado, it is growing rapidly. Also, Monument’s close proximity to Colorado Springs and Denver means plenty of great resources are nearby. MHC has a healthy fledgling youth program, a diverse population of young adults (including both civilians and US Air Force Academy cadets), and the resources and desire to see intentional ministries that help young people to grow in their walk with the Lord.
Summary of Position
The Youth and Young Adult Minister will oversee the Youth and Young Adult Ministries of Monument Hill Church: establishing and implementing biblical teaching plans, creating time and space for intentional fellowship opportunities, and partnering with parents and families in investing in the spiritual development of students and young adults itionally, professional development (such as continued education or ministry training) may be counted toward work hours upon approval.

- Have a heart for youth and young adult ministry: seeking consistent engagement with students and young adults, have a desire to develop and maintain meaningful discipleship relationship, increasing integration of young people into the life of the church
- Be willing to maintain flexible work hours, including some evenings and occasional weekend retreats.
- Align with MHC’s vision, goals, values, and doctrine.
- Regularly attend church services and staff meetings.
- Exhibit strong relational and pastoral skills.
- Be teachable, thoughtful and intentional as they establish and maintain healthy programs.
- Provide primary leadership for the Youth Ministry (7th-12th grade), including consistent biblical teaching, and fostering relationship‑building, character development, and community‑building opportunities.
- Develop and implement a plan for ministering to the young adults at MHC, finding ways to encourage relationships, and also to integrate into the church as a whole in service and in community.
- Build appropriate, Christ‑centered relationships that encourage spiritual growth, connection, and discipleship.
- Enlist, train, and support qualified volunteer servants within the Youth and Young Adult Ministries.
- Uphold MHC’s child‑worker protection policies.
- Create and oversee the annual youth and young adult budgets for MHC.
- Commit to being a member in good standing and presence at MHC.
Our desire is to care well for the servants here their committed service, our Youth and Young Adult Minister can expect:
- A starting annual salary range of $70,000—$90,000
- A line item in the budget set aside for ministry expenses
- A continuing education stipend of $2000/year
- Health insurance stipend and retirement contributions (up to 7% match) available. Details discussed during the interview process.
- Vacation/PTO/Sick Leave: 2 weeks PTO, 10 days/year of sick leave
- Weekly check‑ins with the Staff Elder, along with an annual review conducted by the Elder Board.
