The Music Teacher delivers K–5 music instruction in alignment with the Colorado Academic Standards for Music, cultivating musical literacy, vocal and instrumental skills.

• Plan and deliver music lessons aligned to all four CAS Music strands:
  Perform, Create, Respond, and Connect.
• Differentiated instruction across K–5 grade levels to meet students' developmental and linguistic needs.
• Teach rhythm, melody, harmony, form, and notation using age‑appropriate methods and classroom instruments.
• Prepare and direct students in school performances and community events.
• Assess student progress using formative and summative methods; use data to guide instruction.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to support cross‑curricular learning.
• Collaborate with other specialist teachers during PLCs and PD.
• Communicate with families regarding student growth and school events.

• Valid Colorado CDE teaching license in Music (K–12) or Elementary Education endorsement.
• Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field.
• Knowledge of Colorado Academic Standards for Music.

Position Type: Full Time
Salary: $54,500 per year

• At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Bachelor degree preferred.
