The following statements of essential functions and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. Actual duties and responsibilities may vary depending on building assignment and other factors determined with supervisor and/or building principal.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of a school-wide behavior management system that promotes positive behavior and fosters a culture of respect, responsibility, and resilience.
- Provide leadership in the development, implementation, and monitoring of behavior intervention plans and support services for students with social-emotional or behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and support staff to identify students in need of additional support and coordinate appropriate interventions and services.
- Schedule and facilitate school MTSS meetings monthly.
- Conduct regular classroom observations and provide feedback to teachers on effective classroom management strategies and positive behavior reinforcement techniques.
- If an administrative license is complete, conduct regular classroom spot observations through the RANDA evaluation system.
- Serve as a liaison between students, parents, teachers, and administrators to address concerns, resolve conflicts, and facilitate communication.
- Lead or support initiatives related to bullying prevention, character education, and social-emotional learning to promote a positive school climate and prevent disciplinary issues.
- Administer and oversee the implementation of the school's disciplinary policies and procedures, ensuring fairness, consistency, and adherence to district and state regulations.
- Collaborate with community partners, agencies, and organizations to access resources and support services for students and families in need.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student behavior, discipline incidents, interventions, and support services.
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed to address emergencies, safety concerns, or critical incidents involving students or staff.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of behavior management strategies, social-emotional learning principles, and trauma-informed practices.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members.
- Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in education and student support services.
Working Conditions:
Work primarily takes place in a school setting, with occasional off-site meetings, trainings, or events. May require some evening or weekend hours to accommodate school events, meetings, or activities.
