Hourly: $18.06 - $23.89
West Grand School District 1-Jt is looking for a passionate Special Education / Instructional Paraprofessional to provide a stimulating, safe and developmentally appropriate educational environment where children have the opportunity to develop cognitive, social, emotional and physical skills.
QualificationsWill work under the supervision of the teacher. High School Diploma Excellent oral and verbal communication skills. Proven problem-solving skills.
Essential FunctionsStrong communications, public relations and interpersonal skills. Under direction of the teacher, will monitor and implement instructional activities in groups or one-to-one situations using appropriate motivational and reinforcement techniques. Provide for the safety of students. Knowledge of applicable safety procedures. Assist with the instruction for special needs students including related services as required. Meet with teachers as needed to discuss lessons, interventions, and techniques.
Ability to provide a supportive and caring environment for children. Other responsibilities as assigned.
