The Disability Coordinator provides direct services to students registered with the Disability Resource Center (DRC), including assessment, advising, and referral in all matters related to accessibility to campus services. This position provides consultation and guidance to faculty and staff to ensure appropriate access for disabled students.
Salary Grade
Salary Grade: 14. Please see Staff Compensation Structure or Skilled Crafts and Service Maintenance Compensation Schedule for salary ranges. For salary grade UC, these positions are "Unclassified" and salary ranges are determined by the hiring department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conduct student access meetings, review clinical documentation, and determine disability status and need for accommodations.Develop, implement, and monitor accommodation plans with students and faculty.Maintain timely and accurate electronic student records.Counsel students on rights and responsibilities regarding academic accommodations, departmental policies and procedures, and University policies.Provide consultation to faculty and staff on addressing disability accommodations.Serve as liaison to one or more college to assist students with disabilities and faculty in understanding disability access and accommodations.Coordinate the administration of exams for students with disabilities, including scheduling testing rooms with appropriate accommodations; coordinating with faculty and staff to arrange exam pick-up/return, reserving testing rooms and computer labs as needed, and proctoring, reading, or scribing for students when staffing is needed.Develop and facilitate workshops on executive functioning, academic skills, and disability related issues.Monitor students' academic progress and make referrals to additional campus support services.Attend and participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.Proficiently operate, troubleshoot, and train students and faculty on Assistive Technology used at the Disability Resource Center.Serve as campus coordinator for Workforce Recruitment Program.Perform other duties as assigned by the associate director or the director.Minimum Qualifications

Master’s Degree - Minimum Experience:
3 years work experience with individuals with disabilities plus education
Preferred Qualifications - Master’s Degree in psychology, rehabilitation, counseling, or education
