QUALIFICATIONS- Master's Degree in Speech/Language Disorders
- Type E endorsement from the Colorado Department of Education or working toward a Master's Degree under Temporary Teacher Eligibility, to be complete in the time allotted by CDE
- Clinical experience preferred
- To evaluate or screen previously enrolled speech/language cases, pupils enrolled in school for the first time and referrals
- To screen or assist in screening for possible hearing disabilities all children designated grades enrolled in schools where assistance is requested or adequate nursing service is not available
- To secure written parental permission for every child needed a speech/language assessment. The speech and language will follow the process and staffing procedures as established by the Estes Park School District and CDE
- To carry out those assessments procedures necessary to arrive at a specific speech handicap diagnosis and formulation of remediation and development objectives
- To arrange, along with the principal, a full staffing for those children who have a speech/language handicap that is affecting them educationally
- To provide appropriate direct speech/language therapy services to those children determined to be in need by the speech and language pathologist, mini-staffing committee, or full staffing committee
- To consult with both regular and special education teachers on a regular basis, or as needed, when necessary to foster more positive speech/language patterns in a particular child
- Upon termination from the speech/language program, progress will be reviewed at Annual Review of Triennial
- To complete all necessary record keeping requirements of the Estes Park School District
- To carry out additional duties, as seen fit by the Estes Park School District administration
- Childfind – To assess 0-3 population, as needed
- Preschool – To screen and/or assess 3-5 year olds referred by various agencies and or general population
- Possible member of Alternative Augmentative Communication Team

Salary range is based on the 25-26 schedule until updated, $54,000 to $70,800, with benefits, starting on August 3, 2026. Ten years of previous teaching experience in an accredited school district may be granted.
