Job DescriptionBlue Sky BOCES seeks a part time Mild/Moderate Special Education teacher for King Murphy Elementary for the 2026-27 school year. Clear Creek School District is on a 4-day a week schedule, Monday through Thursday. This position begins on Aug 5, 2026.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Strong instructional knowledge with a focus on research-based instructional strategies, curriculum alignment, and progress monitoring that results in increased student achievement for students with disabilities
- Ability to effectively co-teach with general education staff
- Serve as case manager and lead the IEP team to achieve student learning goals
- Proven communication skills that build strong relationships with students, staff, the community, and colleagues
- Successful implementation of PLC, RTI, and PBS processes to achieve student learning goals
- Effective organizational skills with attention to detail
- Prepare progress reports and year-end evaluation, administering pre- and post-tests as appropriate and necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Active CDE teaching license with certification as a Special Education Generalist (ages 5-21)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
