Lewis-Palmer School District 38 Transitions Program is looking for a Special Education Paraprofessional for the school year. Under general supervision, this position assists in conducting intensified learning experiences for students in assigned areas of study. Candidates will perform a variety of clerical and supportive tasks for instructional personnel and perform related work as required. Candidates will observe and record behavior patterns and develop appropriate techniques to reinforce acceptable behavior while assisting instructional personnel with the development and presentation of learning materials and instructional exercise.
Candidates will give students instruction individually or in small groups to reinforce and follow-up learning activity and will oversee and supervise students during class activities, on job sites, and in the community. Starting salary range for this position will be $19.95 - $21.51. A higher starting rate may be granted to applicants who hold one of the following: a current Colorado educator's license, bachelor's degree, RBT certification, CNA license or RMA/CMA certificate.
This is a full time position, working 7.5 hours per day, and this position will be eligible for benefits. Applications will be reviewed when received and this position will remain open until filled.
