Assistant Principal
The assistant principal is responsible for assisting the principal in developing caring learners through the administrative operations of the school as well as instructional leadership, individual guidance and the school-wide facilitation of improving instructional effectiveness leading to increased student achievement. The assistant principal is also responsible for assisting in the supervision of staff in the school, overseeing professional development activities and district curricular programs, working effectively with community and parent patrons, building care, student activities, student discipline, the development of school policies and procedures to ensure compliance with District, State and Federal educational policies.
- Assist the principal in developing caring learners through administrative operations and instructional leadership.
- Provide individual guidance and facilitate school-wide efforts to improve instructional effectiveness and increase student achievement.
- Assist in supervising staff, oversee professional development activities and district curricular programs.
- Collaborate with community and parent patrons; support student activities and student discipline.
- Contribute to the development of school policies and procedures to ensure compliance with District, State and Federal policies.
Advocates for students and provides and assesses interventions to ensure student success and promote an exemplary educational program which fosters achievement for all students. Provides assistance to children in making educational, occupational and life plans that increase the probability of students becoming mature and responsible decision-makers who enjoy a high degree of personal fulfillment. Provide direct and indirect counseling services to children who are exhibiting symptoms of social, emotional, and/or academic difficulties that interfere with their academic or social progress.
Develops, promotes and maintains good relationships with community members and coworkers.
