Substitute Teacher
The North Routt Community Charter School is seeking additional on-call substitute teachers to join our fun and outdoor based programing in beautiful Clark, CO. Pay Range: $200/ day + PERA benefits
In the absence of the classroom teacher, the substitute is responsible for providing instruction and managing the learning environment; support instruction and assessment aligned with NRCCS student outcomes and achievement standards; adapt instruction to meet the learner needs of all students increasing opportunities for advancing learning and achievement; maintain positive interpersonal relationships with student, parents, staff and community members.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Report to the assigned building Office Manager upon arrival for the work day.
- Implement the teacher's plans and schedules to be adhered to during the school day.
- Maintain the established routines and procedures of the school and classroom to which assigned.
- Follow & teach the approved NRCCS curriculum as provided in lesson plans provided by the teacher.
- Promote and maintain student behavior expectations conducive to learning and maximize learning time.
- Encourage, monitor, and promote student progress.
- Maintain student confidentiality.
- Assume the responsibility for overseeing pupil behavior in the classroom, during lunch, activity periods, and out-of-class settings.
- Provide a summary report in writing on the day's activities at the conclusion of each day for the teacher.
- Work cooperatively with all school personnel and interact in a professional manner with students, parents and staff.
- Follow all policies, rules, and procedures to which teachers are subject and which good teaching practice dictates.
- Adhere to the established policies and regulations of the School and District.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Must have a current Colorado Teacher License or current Colorado Substitute Authorization:
High School Diploma or GED required for 1-year Authorization and Authorization must be approved by Director of Human Resources If previously licensed out-of-state teacher, may be eligible for a 3-year Authorization BA Degree required for 3 or 5-year Authorization
