Music Coach - Timnath Middle High School

Overview

Music Coach position at Timnath Middle High School, part of Poudre School District, Timnath, Colorado. Starting date:
Immediate. Pay: $25.75/hr hours vary by assignment. Benefits include PERA retirement.

• Teach individual lessons in-person or remotely.
• Teach small groups in-person or remotely.
• Assist students with technique, repertoire, instrument care, and other aspects of music performance.
• Coach students on selecting, practicing, and preparing repertoire for ensembles, solo work, and other musical experiences.
• Assist with audition preparation for honor ensembles, college admissions, scholarships, or school ensemble placement.
• Assist director with rehearsals for concert and festival preparation.
• Attend work and arrive in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma, plus post-secondary coursework in music performance equivalent to up to one year of college.
• At least one year and up to two years of experience in playing and/or teaching musical instruments.
• Criminal background check required for hire.
• Technical skills, knowledge & abilities: oral and written communication, English language skills, interpersonal relations, customer service and public relations, critical thinking and problem-solving, ability to maintain confidentiality, ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks, knowledge of musical instrument technique, honesty and integrity, attendance requirements, safety awareness, ability to work with diverse backgrounds.
• Operating knowledge of personal computers and peripherals (for remote teaching) and knowledge of instrument technique and care/maintenance.
