Job Description:

The adjunct faculty members of Colorado Mountain College are hereto assist students in their learning process by utilizing all appropriate staff resources, materials, facilities, and educationaltechnologies available which complement the teaching process. The faculty members needs to be committed to facilitating learningthroughout our communities. Although teaching is the most important role of the faculty, the needs of our learners are also served whenfaculty are engaged in scholarly endeavors as well as service activities.

The college seeks innovative facilitators of learning who areactive in the art of teaching and passionate about extendingacademic opportunities to all students. Colorado Mountain Collegeis an institution offering associate and bachelor’s degrees with afocus on positive classroom experiences and excellent outcomesforall students. CMC does not conduct research but instead focuses onexcellence in teaching and learning in diverse classroom setting sand programs. Successful candidates will demonstrate a passion fordynamic classroom experiences and excellent academic opportunities and student support.

Qualified candidates must be credentialed to teach in the specific program or eligible to be credentialed. Examples of idealqualifications include:

A minimum of a master’s degree in a specific degree for the position being recruited or a Master’s Degree with a minimum of 18graduate credits in a specifically related field. Example for business: (business, finance, management, marketing, or related fields). Minimum of one-year full-time teaching experience, or theequivalent as an adjunct instructor. Higher education teaching experience preferred.

An equivalent/applicable combination of education and experience toperform the duties and responsibilities of the position required.
