Program Overview

CYC brought Math Corps to Colorado in 2021 to provide math supports for 4th- 8th grade students. Colorado Math Corps is an Ameri Corps program with the mission of ensuring that Colorado students in 4th-8th grade who are struggling in math receive individualized support in order to improve math skills. The Math Corps program combines the power of national service with numeracy science to deliver proven approaches that help struggling learners transform into confident students - something that translates into all areas of their lives.

Because Math Corps tutors are in schools full-time, they are providing consistent tutoring, which is why this model has a greater impact on student success. Tutors commit to a term of service and receive rigorous training plus ongoing expert coaching throughout the year. With the use of rich data assessments, they ensure their efforts produce the desired results - helping children achieve grade-level math proficiency.
