The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) is funded through the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) as a nutrition education program within Colorado State University Extension. EFNEP teaches low-income families how to prepare healthy meals on a budget and to increase their physical activity to reduce the risk of chronic disease.
