Lewis-Palmer Elementary School is looking for an INR Special Education Generalist for the  school year. The Special Education Generalist Teacher will identify, assess, and interpret student data, provide consultation for teachers, parents and administrators, provide direct interventions with students, develop and implement Individual Learning Plans (IEPs), and be a contributing member of the school professional learning community. Identify and assess the learning development, academic/social emotional and communication needs of individuals from age 5 to 21 to determine eligibility for special educational services and/or to determine research‑based educational intervention.

Must have or be eligible to receive a Colorado Special Services Provider License with K - 12 Generalist, or special education provider license.

Exact placement on the pay schedule will be determined by the Director of Human Resources upon contracting. As a guideline, we offer up to 18 years of previous contractual teaching experience for a placement of Step 19, per school board policy.
The starting annual salary for this position is $44,550 - $75,279.
Additionally, this position qualifies for an extra 0.2 FTE, bringing the total compensation to 1.2 FTE. The current teacher pay schedule can be found on our website.

Full‑time employees, employed at least thirty hours per week, of Lewis‑Palmer School District are eligible for health insurance plans that include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. The employees may choose from a selection of plans that include coverage additional options for individuals, employee plus spouse, employee plus children, and family plans.

Paid leave is accrued in accordance with District policies and afforded to all persons in accordance with Colorado law.
