SUMMARY OF
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provides consistent instructional support as a building-based substitute teacher. Implements lesson plans, maintains a structured and positive learning environment, and ensures continuity of instruction in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. Supports student learning across grade levels and subject areas while building strong relationships with students and staff.

Principal and/or Assistant Principal
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Instructional Delivery- Implement lesson plans and instructional activities provided by the classroom teacher.
- Carry out assigned classroom responsibilities, schedules, and routines.
- Adapt instruction as needed to support diverse learners.
- Promote and maintain positive student behavior expectations.
- Establish a structured, safe, and productive learning environment.
- Maximize instructional time and student engagement.
- Assess student work when appropriate.
- Prepare a summary of the day’s instruction and classroom activities for the regular teacher.
- Complete required Guest Teacher report forms.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
- Collaborate with school staff to support continuity of instruction.
- Maintain confidentiality of all student information.
- Follow all district and school policies and procedures.
- Utilize the Substitute Absence Management system (Red Rover) as required.
- Report to assigned locations and duties as scheduled.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Colorado Teaching License or Substitute Authorization required.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different classrooms, grade levels, and subject areas.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and flexibility in a dynamic school environment.
