Lewis-Palmer School District 38, located in Monument, CO, is looking for a part time Early Childhood Assistant for the school year at Ray

E. Kilmer Elementary School. The Early Childhood Assistant works directly with the preschool classroom teachers to care for and educate preschool age children through age-appropriate learning experiences. Preschool classrooms are inclusive environments that serve students with various developmental needs. A person in this position is responsible for all children in the classroom.

• Facilitates positive play and interactions by participating with children throughout the class period including centers, recess, and snack
• Assists in preparing lesson materials and classroom activities that foster exploration and independence by utilizing the approved curriculum
• Provides assistance to children who require differentiated learning experiences
• Assists students with self-help skills such as hand-washing, coats, toileting, diapering, and opening snacks
• Contributes actively to the goals and success of all teams and team members through collaboration, cooperation, and flexibility in team discussions, activities, and decision making

This is a parttime position working Monday-Thursday, 8:30 - 1:15, on student contact days.
The starting hourly wage for this position is $20.20 - $21.78 depending on previous experience. The start date for this position is as soon as possible.
