Behavior Technician (School-Based)

Franktown, CO
Contract Length: 36 Weeks
Start Date: September 28, 2026
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:15 AM - 4:15 PM (37 Hours per Week)
We are seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to join a school-based special education program in Franktown, Colorado . In this role, you will support elementary-aged students with special needs by providing behavioral and educational assistance in both one‑on‑one and classroom settings. You will work closely with teachers, special education staff, and other school professionals to help students achieve their learning and behavioral goals.

Key ResponsibilitiesProvide behavioral and educational support to students with special needs.
Assist students in both classroom and one‑on‑one settings.
Collaborate with teachers, behavioral specialists, and special education staff.
Support individualized behavior and learning plans.
Promote positive student engagement and successful classroom participation.
Assist with activities of daily living, including toileting when necessary.
Maintain a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment.
Elementary school setting
Resource classroom environment
Classroom size of approximately 11 students
Students have moderate behavioral support needs and higher‑acuity special needs
On‑site Special Needs Network (SSN) teacher support
Staff may rotate between one‑on‑one support and classroom support roles
Business casual dress code
First‑day instructions provided prior to start
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
Two (2) years of pediatric experience preferred
Current CPR certification, if applicable
TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X‑ray, if applicable
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
Candidates will participate in an in‑person interview with the Principal and Special Education team.
