DesiredQualifications
- Valid teaching certification with special education endorsement
- Demonstrated experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably working in schools
- Thorough knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and assessment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and school staff
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet a variety of student needs and learning styles
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Design and deliver individualized instruction tailored to students in special education programs
- Assess students’ strengths and areas for improvement, ensuring goals are measurable and progress is tracked
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support personnel to implement IEPs and adapt lessons
- Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom climate
- Maintain accurate records according to school and compliance standards
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress, goals, and strategies
