Job Overview
The PV Solar Technician will support the operations and maintenance of Next Era Energy’s photovoltaic (PV) battery systems located at Dry Lake Solar in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado. As a member of the O&M team, the technician will ensure optimal performance and reliability of clean energy systems.
Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and inspection of PV solar systems to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to PV solar systems, including inverters, modules, and monitoring systems.
- Conduct electrical testing and measurements to verify system functionality and compliance with relevant guidelines.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to provide technical feedback and assist in system optimization.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols during installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
- Document all work performed, including system upgrades, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Provide training and support to other team members and contractors as needed.
- Stay updated on industry advancements, new technologies, and best practices to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Perform reliability engineering, warranty management, and basic maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and power electronics, mechanical equipment, and heavy equipment.
- Manage safety and environmental programs, inventory, and regulatory compliance.
- Supervise NEE employees and contractors as required.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
The base pay range for this position is $29.62 to $44.42 per hour.

- High School Graduate / GED
- Experience:
2+ years - Valid Driver’s License (NON CDL)
- Trade School Graduate
- Licensed Electrician
- Licensed Master Electrician
- Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certified
