Position Specific Description

The PV Solar Technician will play a crucial role in supporting the operations and maintenance of Next Era Energy's photovoltaic (PV) battery systems located at Dry Lake Solar located in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado. As a member of the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team, the technician will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance and reliability of clean energy systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and inspection of PV solar systems to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to PV solar systems, including inverters, modules, and monitoring systems.

Conduct electrical testing and measurements to verify system functionality and compliance with relevant guidelines.

Collaborate with engineering and design teams to provide technical feedback and assist in system optimization.

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols during installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.

Document all work performed, including system upgrades, repairs, and maintenance activities.

Provide training and support to other team members and contractors as needed.

Stay updated on industry advancements, new technologies, and best practices to enhance knowledge and skills.

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed Master Electrician
  • Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certified

The base pay range for this position is $29.62 to $44.42 per hour. This range represents the expected base pay for a successful candidate and is based on a variety of factors, including skills, experience, and internal equity.
