CompensationCompetitive salary range: $160,000 – $202,900.

The Area Operations Manager is responsible for supervising staff that maintain and operate compressors, high- and low-pressure systems, metering and associated equipment. This includes managing overall operations of compressor stations and natural gas plants, initiating startup activities, and training staff in safe and efficient plant operation.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and direct employees within geographic territories of pipeline and plant facilities, complying with Company and regulatory requirements.
- Establish and review work group goals and performance metrics.
- Adhere to operating expense and small capital projects budget.
- Ensure the work group has necessary resources and information for daily operations.
- Serve as first-line management for customer, landowner, and public interactions, escalating issues as needed.
- Enforce company policies and procedures.
- Conduct performance reviews, oversee career planning and employee development.
- Assist in hiring for the operational area.
- Assist in project scope, review, and implementation.
- Collaborate with operations, compression, and measurement personnel to troubleshoot field-level issues.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 8 years of preferred experience.
- Experience with various compressor packages and pipeline knowledge preferred.
- Prior experience with natural gas or associated plants preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of natural gas assets.
- High ability to interact with landowners and customers.
- Effective organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Clear and professional communication via phone, e‑mail, and in-person.
- Excellent organizational skills and follow-through.
- Positive attitude and professional demeanor.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally and maneuver objects.
- Able to bend and stoop for filing.
- Capability to sit for prolonged periods.
- Capacity to view computer terminals for long periods.
- Manual dexterity for operating computer and office equipment.
- Reliable to work in all weather conditions.
- Pass drug screening and background check.
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
- Work performed in office and/or field environments.
- Travel in and out of state as required.
