The role requires strong planning, organizational, and project-management skills and a demonstrated ability to motivate others toward a shared vision.
- Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
- Serve as a key senior member of plant staff/leadership team to determine improvement opportunities and set achievable goals for the site, leading efforts toward these goals within a department area.
- Design, implement and monitor robust reliability-based systems including preventative maintenance systems, vibration analysis and condition monitoring; provide technical expertise for the creation of preventative maintenance routines (PMRs) and bill of materials (BOMs) for plant equipment.
- Provide technical management of the preventative/predictive maintenance programs (Inspection, Vibration, Oil Analysis, NDT, thermography, etc.) to ensure optimum equipment availability.
- Manage the preventative maintenance work order system with coordinated execution by area operations and central maintenance teams.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and direction for reliability team and plant area teams in alignment with company values.
- Accountable for management and overall results within the process area based on defined KPIs, including area budgets, capital requirements, major maintenance projects and implementation plans.
- Benchmark and challenge the department to achieve continuous improvement; provide leadership and ensure alignment with plant and company goals.
- Utilize Amrize systems (e.g., MaC, SAP, PMA, CBM) to optimize overall equipment effectiveness at the lowest sustainable cost of maintenance, promoting employee development and continuous improvement.
- Provide leadership, development and coaching to direct reports to achieve business results; maintain excellent verbal and written communication and foster high-performance teams.
- Demonstrated technical proficiency for the area of responsibility, with strong planning, organizational and project-management skills and the ability to motivate others toward a future vision.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Required
Work Experience:
7-10 years; experience in a heavy manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
Required Technical
Skills:
SAP, AutoCAD, Project, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Travel Requirements: 0-10%
Additional Requirements- Experience in FFT analysis of vibration spectra on a range of heavy industrial plants
- Experience in practical application of FMEA, NDT inspection techniques preferred
- Working knowledge of instrumentation, process controls, motors, starts, VFDs preferred
- Adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Employees required to wear respirators must meet fit-test requirements (qualitative and quantitative) as applicable by law
