ABOUT

THE ROLE

As a Supply Planner at Biofire, you’ll play a critical role ensuring that our Supply Chain is positioned for long‑term success – where winning means we have the right plans, suppliers and material readiness to meet scaling production and evolving New Product Introduction (NPI) requirements.

You will own the operational planning needed to ensure material availability across the entire Product Development lifecycle – from Prototype builds to Volume Production. You will partner closely with Product Engineering, Global Sourcing and Supply Chain Management (GSSM), Production, Quality, and Finance to track Clear to Build (CTB) status, align on BOM readiness, and de‑risk supply constraints to meet production timelines.

If you’re excited about building a supply chain from the ground up, we’d love to hear from you.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

For the mechanical fabricated parts category, day‑to‑day responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Forecast and manage supply plans across the Biofire’s Bill of Materials (BOM) in alignment with published Demand and Production Plans;

  • Own the Procure to Pay Process:
    Ensure that Purchase Orders (POs) are structured to differentiate and convey firmed and forecast quantities, that firm/forecast quantities are communicated to Suppliers;

  • Identify Excess and Obsolescence (E & O) and other material risks, recommend mitigations to leadership, and own the efforts to mitigate liability to the business;

  • Develop roadmaps for the phase‑out of obsolete parts and phase‑in of new parts;

  • Build scalable planning tools, dashboards, and workflows that improve cross‑functional visibility and reporting;

  • Partner with the Production and GSSMs to develop CTB models that incorporate specific supply chain and part details to project availability in support of Biofire’s production goals;

  • Lead and maintain Clear to Build (CTB) tracking, leading weekly executive‑level reviews to highlight material supply and constraints, Supplier readiness and risk mitigations;

  • Own Supply Planning, inventory policy, and allocation strategies across all demand streams, ensuring inputs are secured and priorities are aligned to program needs;

  • Serve as connective tissue across Engineering, Finance, Production, Quality and Supply Chain, guiding critical decisions around BOM readiness, launch timelines, and material availability;
